Welcome to Wondering in the Woods!

Mother Earth is always waiting to guide us when we're lost. Are you ready to listen?

Most mornings, I find myself walking the mountain woods, trading voice notes with other soul-preneur (your work is driven by your soul so you make your own path as a solopreneur) friends around the world as we share stories, wisdom, and sometimes tears. I started noticing themes in what we were talking about and thought, why not also record the wisdom being offered so others can benefit from it too?

My intention is to make these recordings easy for me to create, and easy for you to receive, so they’ll be light on the text too. (I have turned on the auto-transcripts function if you prefer reading). I am a single mama of two young kids, so I prefer to be present in my life rather than on a computer all day.

If I spark your curiosity and you have a question you’d like me to record a note around, feel free to leave a comment!

In our current times, I believe more, now than ever, we all have our own part to play in creating a better world for ALL beings (human and non).

And to do that we need to know who we truly are so we can show up authentically and wholly in the world. My work is to help people reclaim their sense of Soul Self and return home to belonging with ALL of themselves — because that is when the inspiration and magic we have to offer the world can shine through. If you want to learn more, you can check out my philosophy and work as a Holistic Guide and cultural change-maker on my website: www.CaraHelene.love.

Coming across one of the majestic elk in Cataloochee Valley in Great Smoky Mountain National Park in 2022, a place I’ve been visiting for 30 years, and am now lucky enough to live near!

Society has changed a lot since I first started posting on Substack in 2022 — and so have I.

In mid-2023, life demanded a refocus on where and how I spent my time. I stopped posting after nearly losing my daughter, then losing my Mother. Since then, I have navigated a lot of personal growth, more hurricanes than I’d like to remember, and a long-awaited move to the Smoky Mountains of Western North Carolina.

I’m finally coming back into myself - shedding all the “shoulds” the business and marketing world have heaped on me over the last 7 years - so I am showing up for my work in a way that truly reflects who I am and what I offer the world. And I hope to inspire other visionaries and change makers to do the same.
