It feels like it would be be helpful to dive a wee bit deeper into reflecting on the somatic experience of burnout — do you know your body’s subtle warning cues, or are you still floundering and caught off guard when it happens?
I have found that writing and creating from a deep, heart-centered place requires dedicated self-nurturing for your work to succeed in the long run. Without it, eventually you won’t be able to keep up your ability to share your work in a way that is also nourishing for you, not just those you make it for.
It also requires devotion that you will show up in a boundaried way that is authentic to the limits of your body, mind, heart, and spirit.
And as you age, what your body requires will evolve too — as I was surprised this week to even find a new limit my body is asking for!
I am curious, what did listening to this bring up for you?
When we share our own discoveries and insights, it helps others see their life in a fresh light too.
Are you seeing things differently when your body is trying to communicate with you?
Are you noticing where perhaps you have been flirting with burnout around the edges of your work/life?
What works for you when you are on burnout prevention duty?
